So when we said this summer, we didn't mean 07, 08, or 09. We meant Summer 2010!

Production Almost Finshed

After years of being in development hell, and countless studio script revisions, it appears that principal photography has finally wrapped for Van Quattro 2. Sources are tight-lipped but word on the street is that this heavily-awaited sequel even has a new secret subtitle. We can't wait to hear more about this blockbuster project.

VQ2 shooting delays

An anonymous tipster sent the following email to this blog: "Word has it that VQ2 has hit some shooting delays due to some conflicting schedules. Apparently Dave and Niraj have been working on some of their own side projects that have limited their availability to shoot (following the obvious success of the original Van Quattro), while Rishi has been sitting at home playing videogames instead of showing up to the set for his scenes. Despite all that, the crew is saying shooting is mostly on schedule and should be resuming shortly. Hopefully once it moves into post-production, they'll at least release a teaser trailer! I know the wait after the first VQ has been brutal!"

Well, Anonymous, I can't confirm or deny what you said but you appear to have some good sources. I've said too much.

Has VQ2 Started Filming?

I could have sworn I saw a camera crew near Wicker Park last week...when I asked around I heard it was a movie called "Project Mercury." Perhaps this is just a code name for Van Quattro 2. Only time will tell.

Behind the Scenes of VQ2: Niraj on "Improvement"

At the conclusion of Van Quattro my agent and I discussed the possibility of a sequel, and it became apparent that American Airlines films had heard the overwhelming response and was ready to greenlight VQ2. Due to having the stomach flu during shooting of the first film, I felt my performance was lacking. I immediately enlisted the assistance of Carl Weathers, and over several meals at Burger King he helped me to improve my acting skills. Hopefully Van Quattro fans will notice the improvement.

Behind the Scenes of VQ2: Dave on "Dedication"

Last winter, when my manager showed me the script for Van Quattro 2, I knew I wanted to reprise my role of P.T. Pontino. But the script called for P.T. to be 155 pounds. So, just like De Niro in Raging Bull, but the opposite, I lost 40 pounds in 5 months to be ready for the shooting schedule. I'm confident you'll see the results of my hard work and dedication in my performance.

News and Notes on Van Quattro 2

(Spoilers!)

Well, not really. The screenplay is going through it's fourth round of revisions, and principal photography is set to begin in a few weeks. Just like the Ocean's 11 franchise, we're stepping up the cast for VQ2. The only thing I'm afraid of, is that it might be TOO good.
